Day 1: Arrival in Vancouver – Step Into the Unknown
Touch down in Vancouver and meet your fellow men at the threshold of something different.
We’ll do a full gear check, grab last essentials, and travel together into the wild.
That evening, we settle into a remote hut — at the edge of the trail and far from the noise.
This is the last night with signal. The work begins tomorrow.
Days 2–7: The Expedition – Into the Wilderness
The trail begins.
No phones. No performance. Just presence.
We hike together through the Canadian backcountry — across alpine passes, dense forests, and glacial lakes.
Days are filled with sweat, silence, cold plunges, and campfire conversations.
Coaching and reflection are woven into the rhythm of the wild.
You’ll walk with purpose, speak honestly, and strip away the noise.
Evenings bring deep rest, shared meals, and moments that hit harder than any retreat.
By Day 7, we complete the loop — tired, clear, and more alive than we’ve felt in years.
We return to Vancouver, but something essential stays out there.
All you need to do is get yourself to Vancouver Airport and your guide will do the rest. From the airport you will go together for your accommodation for the night.
This expedition is rated 4 out of 5 for difficulty, making it ideal for those with previous hiking experience and a strong sense of adventure. Expect long days on foot, varied terrain, and elevation changes that will challenge both body and mind. You’ll be carrying your own pack through remote wilderness, including forest trails, rocky ascents, and high alpine passes. While no technical climbing is required, mental resilience and physical readiness are essential.
A 4/5 fitness rating means you’ll need to be in solid physical condition to fully enjoy this journey. Daily hikes can range from 6 to 10 hours with elevation gain, uneven surfaces, and exposure to the elements. This experience is designed for those who already lead an active lifestyle and are prepared to spend several consecutive days on the trail, carrying weight and moving with purpose. It’s demanding — but deeply rewarding.
You will be camping in the wilderness. True to your ancestorial roots.
Two of the nights you’ll be staying in hiking huts, and the rest hiking whilst on the trail.
All meals are provided from arrival at base camp through to the final morning. Practical, nourishing, and satisfying food are provided and designed to meet the physical demands of hiking while keeping pack weight manageable.
At Camp:
Meals include hearty options like rotisserie chicken, fresh salads, bread, tea, chocolate, and snacks such as cheese, fruit, and nuts.
On Trail:
Expect lightweight, high-energy food focused on nutrition and function:
Dried hiking meals
Oatmeal, granola bars, and trail mixes
Dried meat, fruit, and nuts
Tea, coffee, chocolate, and electrolyte mixes
August is typically one of the warmest and sunniest months in British Columbia’s backcountry. Expect long days with clear skies, strong sun, and daytime temperatures often reaching 25–30°C (77–86°F) — especially in exposed alpine areas and lower valleys. With that in mind, a good hiking hat, breathable shorts, and lightweight layers are essential for staying comfortable and protected.
While hot and dry conditions are the norm, mountain weather can change quickly. We recommend packing lightweight, waterproof rain gear, just in case a front rolls in. Evenings can cool off significantly, especially at higher elevations, so bring a warm layer for nights around the fire.
Important note: August is also peak season for forest fires in BC. While we monitor conditions closely, if wildfires pose a safety risk or impact air quality, the expedition may be relocated or rescheduled. Your safety always comes first.
British Columbia’s wilderness is home to a variety of wildlife, including black bears, grizzly (brown) bears, and cougars. These animals are a natural part of the landscape and play an important role in the ecosystem.
While the idea of encountering these animals can feel intimidating — especially if you’re visiting from outside Canada — it’s important to know that they generally keep to themselves. Most wildlife will avoid humans entirely unless startled or protecting their young.
Your guide is highly experienced in the outdoors and will be carrying bear spray at all times. In his many years leading backcountry trips, encounters with bears have been extremely rare, and usually happen at a distance.
We’ll go over basic bear safety and awareness before we begin, including how to hike as a group and make noise in more remote areas. These small practices go a long way in avoiding surprise encounters.
⚠️ Reality check: Bear or cougar attacks are very rare in Canada. With respectful behaviour and a mindful guide leading the way, the wilderness is a safe place to be — and for many, a humbling reminder of what it means to reconnect with the wild.
