From the moment we unboxed the Polygon Siskiu T7E, we were very impressed! The bike is fitted with a Shimano EP801 motor along with a full-sized 630Wh battery. This, therefore, delivers remarkable power. The frame of the bike is low slung, and along with it having a balanced geometry, makes it easy to traverse technical and high speed terrain. Alongside the bike is a drivetrain with wide range and 4 piston brakes which makes the bike confident and capable and adjustable suspension which makes the ride effortless.

Despite the above, the bike issues of retaining smoother grip at high speed has to be dealt with by the front tire. Our examinations have also revealed other potential problems: the mounts of the battery were placed incorrectly which led to the battery being dislodged. This also caused the rear shock to work as effectively.

After stripped the bike, readjusted the mounts, replaced the shock, and giving the bike a thorough servicing, it was ready to be ridden again. However, all of this non monitored work needs to be monitored more stringently.

No mountain bike is truly perfect, but the Whyte ELyte 150 RSX comes impressively close. With outstanding handling, well-balanced proportions, and exceptional suspension, it delivers a top-tier riding experience. The sleek full-carbon frame not only looks great, but also accommodates both a full-size water bottle and a range extender. On the other hand, a grippier rear tire would be welcome and the wireless SRAM GX drivetrain, carbon 29-inch wheels, and SRAM brakes leave little to be desired.

Final Verdict

So, why not a perfect 10? Well, for one, The Bosch Performance Line SX motor introduces noticeable drag above the 15.5mph assist limit or when the battery runs out. It also has a slight rattle when coasting. Additionally, its range falls short compared to the Fazua Ride 60-equipped Santa Cruz Heckler SL. The Bosch SX system is undoubtedly more reliable, though. Despite these minor drawbacks, the ELyte 150 RSX stands out as the best in its class!
